        Team Tryouts

        All tryouts for the current season have concluded but don't be discouraged.  If you are interested in preparing to join us for next season, consider our tumbling classes until then.

        _FULL SEASON
        Tryouts for the 2011-2012 full season have concluded.  Tryouts for next years full season teams will be in May 2012.
        _HALF SEASON
        The half season is 6 months and the teams will go to 3 competitions. The practices  started the week of December 5th and conclude at the competition in April 2012.

        _QUARTER SEASON
        We are offering a quarter season (ages 12 - 18), which will be from end of January to April 2012 and go to 2-3 competitions. The schedule does not interfere with any high school competition schedules. 

        Tryouts for QUARTER SEASON were held in January and early February but there may still be some spots open so please contact us to find out.

        UNIFORMS
        If you have a pre-owned uniform that you would like to sell, please bring them in a ziploc bag clearly labeled with name and size of uniform on the outside of the bag.
        _Ages: (age as of August 31st, 2011)
        Tiny - 5 yrs or younger (must be potty trained)
        Mini - 8 yrs or younger
        Youth - 11 yrs or younger
        Junior - 14 yrs or younger
        Senior - 18 yrs of age or younger

        _Levels
        Pre-Level 1 - somersault, cartwheel, and hand stands; 
        Level 1 - walkovers (front and back), round off, power round off, intro flip flop, back handspring not achieved yet;

        Pre-Level 2 - working flip flop, running flip flop;
        Level 2 - series of flip flops, intro to tuck, standing and running back handspring

        Pre-Level 3 - running one to tuck, intro to front tumble;
        Level 3 - running two to tuck, specialty passes, intro to standing tuck, front tumble, multiple standing and running back handsprings, round off tuck, round off back handspring tuck, punch front, aerial;

        Pre-level 4 - intro to layout, standing tuck, standing one to tuck;
        Level 4 - standing tuck, running series with layout, standing two to layout, standing back handspring tuck, round off layout or round off back handspring layout, whip backs, x-outs, punch fronts, advanced connected tumbling;

        Pre-level 5 - standing connectors with jumps;
        Level 5 - fulls and twisting;
        Level 5 Advanced - double fulls and standing fulls.

        A nationwide survey of
        10,000 cheerleaders
        conducted by UCA revealed
        the following:


        96% indicated that they
        will attend college

        85% have a "B" average or better in school

        65% are involved in extracurricular activities
        outside of cheerleading

        Over 50% are involved in
        other sports and other
        athletic activities
